Why This Site Exists
Music Using Technology was created to help musicians feel confident using computers, audio interfaces, MIDI controllers, and software instruments in their music-making journey.
The goal is simple: remove confusion, explain things clearly, and make music technology accessible to everyone — from beginners to experienced players.
Who It’s For
This site is for musicians who want practical, real-world guidance
without unnecessary jargon or hype.
A little about me
I am Peter Somerville, a musician and teacher who enjoys combining music and technology to maximise their potential. My goal with this blog is to encourage other musicians and instrumentalists to utilise technology and computers, enabling their music to reach its full potential.
My blog includes helpful information about the hardware/software required to set up your music projects. I also provide some links to sites where you can find out more and possibly even purchase relevant equipment/software to assist you on your way. Enjoy the journey!
